N2

〜にしたら/にしてみれば/にすれば

Meaning

With the meaning "if seen from the standpoint of 〜" or "if one thinks while standing on the side of 〜," it indicates a certain person's viewpoint or feelings. It is mostly used to state that person's own circumstances or feelings, which are hard for a third party to see. It attaches to words referring to people, as in 「親にしてみれば」「彼にすれば」. The three forms are almost synonymous. Note that it differs in meaning from 「にしたところで」 ("even 〜" / "even in the case of 〜").
