〜ようによって（は）

Meaning

Means "depending on how one does 〜, depending on that manner (the result changes)." It states that even for the same thing, if one changes the way of looking at it, the method, or the way of taking it, it can be evaluated differently. It takes the form of verb ます-form ＋「ようによって（は）」, used as 「考えようによっては」「使いようによっては」.

考えようによっては、これも良い経験だ。 Depending on how you look at it, this is a good experience too.
言いようによっては、相手を傷つけずに伝えられる。 Depending on how you say it, you can get the point across without hurting the other person.
この道具は使いようによっては危険だ。 This tool can be dangerous depending on how it's used.
やりようによっては、もっと短時間で終わる。 Depending on how you go about it, it can be finished in less time.
