〜どころではない

Meaning

Expresses that one has absolutely no room to do such a thing now. Strongly denies that the situation allows it, as circumstances are pressing. Often used to say that a leisurely activity is out of the question in the face of an urgent situation.

仕事が山積みで、旅行どころではない With work piling up, a trip is out of the question.
熱が下がらず、勉強どころではなかった Busy with cash flow, a new business is out of the question.
資金繰りに追われ、新規事業どころではない With a typhoon approaching, cherry blossom viewing was no longer an option.
