〜について／〜に関して

Meaning

Indicates taking up that matter as the topic or object of discussion. "〜に関して" is somewhat more formal than "〜について." In the form "〜に関する" it also modifies a noun.

Examples

日本の歴史について、レポートを書いた I wrote a report on Japanese history.
この件に関しては、後日改めてご連絡します Regarding this matter, we will contact you again at a later date.
環境に関する本を読んでいる I'm reading a book about the environment.
