〜も〜ば〜も
Meaning
Expresses listing two things of the same kind side by side, in the sense that there is this and also that. Verbs and i-adjectives take the form 「〜ば」, while nouns and na-adjectives take 「〜なら」. Used to list both good and bad things.
Examples
- 彼はお酒も飲めば、たばこも吸う He both drinks and smokes.
- この店は値段も安ければ、味もいい This shop is both cheap and tasty.
- 世の中には、親切な人もいれば、冷たい人もいる In the world, there are kind people and there are cold people.
