〜っぽい

Meaning

A suffix expressing that a certain quality or tendency is strongly felt. Attached to a noun it means "seems like ~," as in "childish," and attached to a verb it means "tends to ~ easily," as in "forgetful." A casual expression.

Examples
  1. 彼は大人なのに、子どもっぽいところがある Although he's an adult, he has a childish side.
  2. 年を取って、忘れっぽくなった As I've gotten older, I've become forgetful.
  3. この服は安っぽく見える These clothes look cheap.
