〜ぎみ

Meaning

A suffix expressing that such a tendency or state is slightly noticeable. As in "feeling a bit like a cold coming on" or "gaining a bit of weight," it describes a slight leaning toward that state. Attaches to the -masu stem of a verb or to a noun.

Examples

少し風邪ぎみなので、早めに帰ります I'm feeling a bit like I'm coming down with a cold, so I'll head home early.
最近、残業続きで疲れぎみだ Lately, with all the overtime, I'm feeling a bit worn out.
