Cites an extreme or seemingly obvious example to express "even ~ is so, all the more for others."

Examples

1. 彼は疲労のあまり、立つことすらできなくなっていた。 He was so exhausted that he could not even stand.
2. こんな簡単な漢字すら書けないようでは、試験には合格できない。 If you cannot even write such a simple kanji, you will not pass the exam.
