〜ぬきで／〜をぬきにして
Meaning
Expresses doing something while excluding what would normally be included, or setting a matter aside for the moment. Used as in 「冗談ぬきで」「仕事の話をぬきにして」.
Examples
- 今日は冗談ぬきで、真剣に話し合いたい Today, jokes aside, I want to talk seriously.
- 仕事の話をぬきにして、今夜は楽しみましょう Setting work talk aside, let's enjoy ourselves tonight.
