〜やら〜やら

Meaning

Lists a few examples and indicates that there are many others. Mostly used to enumerate this and that amid busyness, confusion, or mixed emotions.

Examples

引っ越しの日は、荷造りやら手続きやらで一日中ばたばたしていた。 On moving day, I was busy all day with packing and paperwork.
合格の知らせに、うれしいやら信じられないやらで、しばらく言葉が出なかった。 At the news of passing, I was so happy and in such disbelief that I was speechless for a while.
机の上は書類やら本やらで散らかっている。 The desk is cluttered with documents, books, and more.
