〜にしたところで／〜にしたって

Meaning

States that even taking up that position or case, the conclusion does not change. Shows that even the example cited is no exception. 「〜にしたって」 is the colloquial form.

Examples

社長にしたところで、この決定を覆す権限はない。 Even the company president does not have the authority to overturn this decision.
急いだにしたところで、終電にはもう間に合わない。 Even if you hurried, you would not make the last train anymore.
私にしたって、好きでこの仕事をしているわけではない。 It is not as if I am doing this job because I like it either.
