〜であれ〜であれ／〜であろうと〜であろうと

Meaning

A parallel expression that lists two examples A and B and states "in either case the conclusion is the same." 「〜であれ〜であれ」 is the stiffer form.

Examples

晴れであれ雨であれ、行事は予定どおり実施する。 Whether it is sunny or rainy, the event will be held as planned.
日本人であろうと外国人であろうと、法律は平等に適用される。 Whether Japanese or foreign, the law applies equally.
