〜てしかるべきだ

Meaning

Expresses the judgment that doing so is only proper and appropriate. A formal expression stating that, by reason, things ought to be that way. 「しかるべき」 is written 「然るべき」.

Examples

これだけ貢献したのだから、評価されてしかるべきだ。 Given this much contribution, it deserves to be recognized.
利用者の意見は、もっと尊重されて然るべきだ。 The opinions of users should be given more respect.
