〜んがため（に）
Meaning
Expresses a strong purpose, "in order to do something." An archaic, stiff, written-style expression conveying a single-minded determination to achieve that purpose. 「ため」 is written with the kanji 「為」.
Examples
- 生き残らんがため、彼らは必死で戦った。 In order to survive, they fought desperately.
- 己の信念を貫かんが為の行動であった。 It was an action taken to uphold his own convictions.
