Meaning
Expresses the condition "if it is such a circumstance." Assumes a special case, often followed by strong will or resolve, "for that, one will of course do this."
Examples
- 子どものためとあれば、どんな苦労もいとわない。 If it is for the sake of my children, I will endure any hardship.
- 会社の危機とあれば、社員一丸となって立ち向かうしかない。 If the company is in crisis, all employees have no choice but to unite and face it.
